I enjoyed watching Gomez while he was a Brewer. He was an exciting player whose exuberance for the game IS the right way to play the game -- Garret Cole be damned.
The Brewers traded him away for a number of prospects from Houston that hopefully will develop into the core of the next contending Brewers team. Gomez was always going to leave after 2016 (especially with Scott Boras as his agent), so the time was right.
At present, my Gomez collection stands at 157 cards.
