Why Bill Wegman? He spent 11 years in the majors, all with the Brewers. He's in the top 10 all-time for team wins, appearances, starts, complete games, and innings.
While he was also named starting pitcher for the Journal Sentinel's All Decades team for the 1990s, that may be more of an indictment of the Brewers pitching in the 1990s than it is endorsing Wegman. He had a 47-48 record in 6 season, throwing 791-2/3 innings while giving up 828 hits, walking 182, and striking out just 395 batters. In other words, Milwaukee starters in the 1990s were godawful terrible.
So Wegman being a .500 pitcher meant he "earned" a spot with a PC. Plus, he signed autographs after games on several occasions, which is always a plus.
I have 124 Wegmans, with the autographs counted separately as appropriate.
