Why am I collecting Valentin? It was either him or Fernando Vina as "random middle infielder of the 1990s." It's not that far off from the truth. Valentin spent 8 years in Milwaukee. He had a little pop -- 90 HR -- and he was a constant for a lot of years from 1992 to 1999 when constancy was not a guarantee.
And, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel named him as the shortstop for the 1990s All-Decades team. So, at least I have that to validate my selection.
I have 100 Jose Valentin cards of him as a Brewer.
