There are a few guys I've listed as being secondary collections who only have cards with Milwaukee. Jerry Augustine, Ted Higuera, Bill Wegman, and Jim Gantner (off the top of my head) are among these guys. I guess the point of these guys being "secondary" collections is that they are not as high of a priority for me to try to collect as many cards of them as possible.
Gantner -- like Augustine -- was a local boy who made good. Unlike Augustine, Gantner actually had the talent to stay on the team for a long time as a starter. Gantner is third all-time in games with the Brewers behind the two homegrown Hall of Famers Robin Yount and Paul Molitor. The three of them spent 15 seasons together on the Brewers -- all of Molitor's Milwaukee career.
Of course, Gantner was named the second baseman for the 1980s All-Decades team by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in 2000.
I have a total of 168 Jim Gantner cards. As with other players, I list autographed items separately from the unautographed versions if I have both.
