Now, as I've mentioned on my 1982 Topps Blog, Augustine was a mop-up man whose roster spot for the post-season in 1982 was given to Don Sutton. Augustine was around only because he looked good early in his career. As Dan Okrent put it,
Jerry Augustine, for his part, was still on a five-year guaranteed contract, awarded him back when he showed a great deal of promise. In Augustine, [manager Harvey] Kuenn had an inning eater, an omnivore who could occupy the mound when it was hopeless to waste a truly valuable pitcher. At any rate, the local boy who stayed for 10 seasons gets a PC from me.
I have 25 Jerry Augustine cards/items. I list autographs separately from unautographed, of course.
In all, though, that total probably makes me a Jerry Augustine super-collector, at least among people whose last name isn't "Augustine."
