Though he started his career with the Pittsburgh Pirate organization and spent his first 5 major league seasons in Philadelphia, Don Money truly was the first real star that the Brewers had. Indeed, only Ryan Braun (with 6 as of 2015) and Paul Molitor and Cecil Cooper (each with 5) have appeared in more All-Star games than Money did with 4. Money also was voted to start the All-Star Game in 1978.

While Money played short, left, DH, second, and first in his career with the Brewers, he most often appeared at third base. Unsurprisingly, then, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel named Money as its third baseman for the 1970s all-decade team.
The Brewers released Money in early 1984, and he spent 1984 playing in Japan.
