An offbeat eBay win

Just a quick post tonight as well as I prepare for my fantasy baseball auction tomorrow morning.

I have been watching an oddball item of memorabilia on eBay for the past several months waiting for one to get into the right price range to where I could justify buying it.  One finally did.

So what is it?

Well, the Cynical Buddha wrote about it in his first Robin Yount collector post of the year.  That guy is awesome.  I think he has three times as many Yount items as I do, but I have to be honest -- playing catch-up is actually kind of fun in this context!

Yes, it's a ruler.

It's a great addition to my Brewers collection as a slice in time from that 1975 team.  You not only get Robin Yount -- second from the right on the top side -- but you also have Hank Aaron (5th from left on the bottom) as well as Brewers legends (of sorts) Sixto Lezcano, Charlie Moore, George "Boomer" Scott, Jim Slaton, Gorman Thomas, and even bubble-gum blowing champion Kurt Bevacqua.

I swear I had one of these as a kid, but it's nowhere to be found at this point.

Thanks again for reading, and I'll have some more interesting stuff tomorrow -- I made a stop at a Toys R Us, and that can only mean one thing: purple cards!

    1. Thanks, Brady. I love these oddball items -- they have a ton of character, and they are just different.
