Cardless at the Beach

I'm on vacation away from home and my cards. It isn't the worst thing in the world. This is the view from the balcony:

I tried finding some cards or something interesting at two flea markets in Fort Walton Beach. I did see a few interesting items -- I mean, it was incredibly difficult not to buy a 1989 Topps rack pack for $6.99, (ahem, sarcasm). It was similarly difficult to leave the autographed items whose authenticity was guaranteed by the flea market on the shelf.

To be fair, I wasn't expecting much.  But it would have been nice to see something worth looking at. I suppose my disappointment must have shown up on my face, as my wife suggested stopping at Target for me to get cards. Instead, we just had a nice lunch and went back to hanging out with her family and our nieces and nephews.

That was at least as much fun as opening another pack of Topps Heritage.
